Officially Released Xiaomi Mi A1 in Indonesia, what is the price?

The riddle about the release date of the Xiaomi Mi A1 in Indonesia has finally been answered. After previously Xiaomi Indonesia was known to send invitations to various media for the release of a new Xiaomi smartphone, finally through the Xiaomi Mi A1 release event at Senayan City Hall, Jakarta on Wednesday (20/9/2021), Donovan Sung, Director of Management and Marketing at Xiaomi Global official release of Xiaomi Mi A1 for Indonesia.

“A lot of people expect Mi A1 to come to Indonesia and there is even a hashtag #BawaMiA1keIndonesia on social media. So now we bring Mi A1 for you,” said Donovan Sung, as quoted from the Kompas Tekno page.

This launch is a big step for Xiaomi in Indonesia because the Mi A1 is Xiaomi’s first smartphone produced locally to strengthen Xiaomi’s commitment to the Indonesian market.

Mi A1 Specifications

Armed with a dual camera, the Xiaomi Mi A1 is said to have a camera quality that is not inferior to the iPhone 7 Plus. The Mi A1 dual camera carries the wide and telephoto concept with a resolution of 12 MP each. This camera is equipped with stereoscopic imaging features and deep learning-based algorithms that are able to produce a bokeh effect when taking photos, just like the settings on a DSLR camera. In addition, the Mi A1 camera also features 2x optical zoom and up to 10x digital zoom.

Not only the rear camera, Mi A1 also comes with a front camera with 5 MP resolution which is equipped with the Beautify 3.0 feature where there are 100 algorithm points that can identify and correct the best color on the face.

Xiaomi Mi A1 comes with a sleek full metal body design with a choice of black, rose gold and gold colors and a fingerprint sensor on the back. This latest Xiaomi smartphone comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD screen equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass. This smartphone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB internal memory, 3,080 mAh battery.

Quoted from the Kompas Tekno page, Google’s Head of Consumer Marketing for Southeast Asia, Pete Nuchanatanon, said that the Mi A1 would be one of the first smartphones to be upgraded to the Android P operating system in 2021.

Xiaomi Mi A1 Sales

By putting forward the slogan ‘Created by Xiaomi, Powered by Google’, the Mi A1 is the first smartphone from Xiaomi to carry the Android One program, which is a Google product. Registration for the purchase of Xiaomi A1 will start on September 25 – 30, followed by flash sale which will be held for four days starting from October 2-5 at Mi Official Store Lazada and October 6, 2021 at Erajaya. The price of the Xiaomi Mi A1 in Indonesia is priced at IDR 3,099,000 per unit, not much different from the price of the Mi A1 in India which is sold for IDR 3.1 million.

Xiaomi Mi A1 will also be available at Authorized Mi Store Pondok Indah Mall and Summarecon Mall Serpong starting October 2 in limited quantities before this smartphone can be purchased on all official Erafone and TAM distribution networks in Indonesia on October 6, 2021.
