NESABAMEDIA.COM – Microsoft Edge browser in the near future or in version 92 will allow its users to be redirected in HTTPS path by default for all website domains that support the feature. This feature is currently under development, and will likely start rolling out in July 2021.
The Microsoft Edge browser has been known to provide lots of new features along with improvements to existing features, the majority of which are designed to protect its users. The latest information states that Edge browser version 92 will support the use of HTTPS paths by default if the site does support it.
Please note that this feature is an optional feature, and is currently under development. The release date is rumored to be in July 2021. And here is the description included in the list of updates to the 365 road map:
“Starting with version 92 of the Microsoft Edge browser, users will be able to choose to upgrade navigation from HTTP to HTTPS by default on web domains that support the security protocol. This support can also be configured to enable the HTTPS protocol for all domains. With a more secure network, it will help users to avoid cyber attacks that are rampant in recent times.”
As information about the difference between the HTTP and HTTPS protocols in general is that HTTPS will encrypt user data, provide and will add a layer of protection when users visit sites on the web, such as when processing online grocery payments, where some sensitive data will be entered. .
So using the HTTPS protocol on almost every possible site is quite important, and because the Edge browser is working on implementing the HTTPS protocol across all domains as much as possible, and making the process easier for users.
Regular feature updates and a wide range of Edge browsers, such as usability improvements on Xbox, make it a reliable browser for all uses and needs. Always, security issues are a priority when surfing the internet.
