IPGL Qualification is Back and Will Be Held in Malang

After several weeks of vacuum due to the Eid holiday, the qualification for the Dota 2 Indonesia Pride Gaming League (IPGL) tournament will return on 8 and 9 July. This time it was Malang’s turn to be the next qualifying arena, to be precise at the Hardcore Internet Lounge.

For those of you who don’t know, IPGL is a long tournament consisting of three phases. The first phase is the qualification which is held eight times separately, two separately on line, six seara offline. Each qualifying winner will advance to the league phase with the format best of 2 round robin. After that, the best four teams will advance to the phase playoffs, and the two finalist teams will receive prizes and represent Indonesia in the Asia League tournament.

The total prize up for grabs in this tournament is also no joke, which is IDR 400 million. Not only that, these prizes are spread across all three phases from qualifying to playoffs. So, as long as you can win one of the qualifiers and advance to the league phase, you have plenty of chances to get some of prize pool this tournament.

To date, IPGL has completed four qualifiers and presented four teams in the league phase. They are BOOM.ID (qualification on line first), The Prime NND (Jakarta qualification), Rex Regum Qeon (qualification on line second), and Friction Esports (Palembang Qualification). After Malang, there are still three qualifications offline the remaining ones, namely Kalimantan, Makassar, and Bandung.

For those of you who are in Malang or its surroundings and want to take part in this IPGL qualification, register your team at link this no later than 7 July 2021. Until this article was taken down, there are still 42 slots that you can take to participate. So, don’t miss it.
