IGC 2021 Recap Day One: Renegades to Vainglory Final

The opening and the first day of the 2021 Indonesia Games Championship started yesterday. On the first day, the favorite teams made it to the semifinals of the branch Vainglory. Meanwhile Team Xcn managed to beat EVOS Esports in the branch Dota 2.

The first day of IGC 2021 played two branches, namely Vainglory and Dota 2. Branch Vainglory opened with an easy victory for Elite 8 Esports against Bigetron Esports with a score of 2-0. The same thing happened to Renegades who slaughtered PG.Supernova 2-0 which was quite fast.

In the third match, the Noiisy Boys tried to match Impunity for early game. But after that Impunity managed to take control and finally seize games first. Then on games both Impunity managed to finish the match easily and advance to the semifinals. While BOOM ID, which was the 2021 IGC champion last year, also managed to wipe out Keris Gaming with a score of 2-0.

First day for Vainglory closed with a semifinal match between Renegades and Elite 8 Esports in the semifinals. Unfortunately, despite putting up fierce resistance in games second, Renegades was able to end the match with a final score of 2-0 and advance to the final round.

Meanwhile branch Dota 2 opened with a match between Team Xcn and EVOS Esports. Surprisingly, in two games Team Xcn looks very dominant. In two games, EVOS did not move and could not answer the strategy of Team Xcn. EVOS Esports had to admit defeat with a score of 0-2 and dropped to lower bracket, while Team Xcn advances to the next round.

The second match pitted Drago with ThePrime.NND. On games First InYourDream that uses Tinker is able to ruffle Drago. But on games both Drago replied after comeback from missing one lane barracks. But on games third ThePrime.NND dominated the game and ended the match with a final score of 2-1.

Branch Dota 2 will continue with two matches in upper bracket. While the team that loses in the first round will go down to lower bracket. They have to play the match best of one in order to survive in this tournament.

Besides Dota 2 and Vainglory, IGC 2021 on this Saturday will start the match in the branch Arena of Valor.
