Get to know the history of television in brief [Mudah Dipahami]
It took a long journey before finally color television can be enjoyed by all people in the world. Long before television came along, entertainment and information could only be obtained from print media such as newspapers and books. Then came the radio that provides entertainment through audio. And in the end, television began to appear in the community even though it could only display moving images in white and black.
Television history has started since the 18th century with the emergence of several inventions, including the Nipkow Disk patented by Paul Julius Gottlieb Nipkow. This discovery was applied by John Logie Baird to his scanning disc in the 1920s until he finally succeeded in transmitting an image which was then demonstrated on January 26, 1926. Many people think that the demonstration was the first television demonstration in the world.
Baird’s demonstration was a mechanical television demonstration. What is recognized as the world’s first demonstration of electronic television is the demonstration conducted by Philo Farnsworth on September 3, 1928. And along with the advancement of electronic television, gradually its presence was able to shift and subvert the dominance of mechanical television.

black and white television
From the black and white screen, the trend of television began to lead to color television. In the United States, color television has been introduced since 1953, but the price is still very expensive. Most television stations also still display their programs in black and white. This situation caused the slow development of color television.
The number of color television sales began to show a positive signal in 1965 after more than half of television stations announced that all prime time programs would be broadcast in color.
About 19 years later since color television was introduced in the United States, the number of sales of color televisions managed to beat black and white television. In the late 1980s, black and white television was hard to find.
Even so, the development of television technology has not stopped. In the 1990s, the signs of the emergence of digital television began to appear. When HDTV technology was being developed by Sony Corporation and the analog MUSE format was proposed by NHK in Japan, the United States-based General Instruments company succeeded in demonstrating that television broadcasts could be transmitted via digital signals. In the late 2000s, analog television technology began to be replaced by digital television on a large scale.

Smart TV
The presence of a technology often triggers the emergence of other, more sophisticated technologies. Smart TV innovation is also possible thanks to digital television technology and computers.
A smart TV is able to broadcast television station programs, broadcast videos from the internet (streaming), and become interactive media. Smart TV can also be a medium for displaying photos and for surfing the web. At first smart TV is expensive, but over time the price is increasingly affordable.
