Epicenter Major Group Division, Last Major Tournament in 2021 Pro Circuit

The last major for the 2021 Dota Pro Circuit, the Epicenter Major, will start on June 22. For some teams, this tournament is nothing more than a training ground to prepare for The International 2021. However, for some other teams, this is their last chance to secure an invitation to The International 2021, which only has four remaining.

Like this season’s Major, the Epicenter Major brings together 16 teams from six regions. All of them will be divided into four groups and play in GSL format best of three.

The results of this group stage will not knock the team out of the tournament, but will determine the position in the team playoffs later. The two best teams from each group will start the phase playoffs from upper bracket, while the bottom two teams have to start from lower bracket. Half playoffs played in format double elimination best of three, except the first half lower bracket (best of one), and the final round (best of five).

Here’s the group division as well as pairing Epicenter Major first match:

If you see ranking The Pro Circuit and each team’s record, the results of groups A, B, and C seemed predictable. It’s a different story in group D, which has a team with more or less balanced strengths. Not to mention that in the group there are two teams that still haven’t guaranteed The International 2021 slot, namely OG and TNC.

Including OG and TNC, there are eight teams that are still trying to guarantee The International 2021 slot. These eight teams also happen to be evenly distributed in each group. We’ll see if they succeed or not.

How about you? Who will emerge victorious in this Epicenter Major? Then most importantly, who will ultimately secure the remaining four slots to The International 2021?
