Bootleggers ROM PIE for Redmi 4x which is cool and smooth playing pubg

mrfdn – Maybe among the existing custom roms, bootleggers are newcomers. This rom managed to become a prima donna among pubg mobile game players.

Some reviews of friends who also use this rom on redmi 4x say that this rom is the best for games.

My favorite kernel setting for playing pubg on bootleggers rom on redmi 4x. Here I use kernel twister.

I also tried to install and try to compare with some previous roms.

Not without reason, bootleggers provide some convenience. Such as ::

1. Multiple kernel support

Among the ones I have tried are the dark phoenix kernel, twister, rockstar, wolf, fred, xprise, clarity, and the wizard staff.

For performance, I rely on kernel twister
As for the battery, I like clarity.

Remember, this rom uses treble kernel. If it’s non-treble, you can’t install it.

2. Nice rom customization feature

There is an option to hide / hide the default rom application. This is useful because I don’t want to show all the apps in the menu drawer, such as the calculator, the built-in file manager, the default browser, and some other apps.

The unique bootloader screen is over. The glitch effect, at first glance, looks like a broken cellphone screen. It’s cool anyway.

3. Standard performance

I always measure the performance of a rom from a game. How smoothly a rom can play popular pubg mobile games and some alternative pubg games.

After I tested playing pubg mobile, I got smooth performance.

Of course, with certain settings, such as adding the gfx tool, and force gpu rendering in developer mode.

During playing games the battery is also cooler, but when using the rockstar v6 kernel it heats up even faster.

Notes

After using this rom for a month, I’m getting some apps slow to open. Like whatsapp, line, google chrome. I don’t know maybe because my cellphone is a redmi 4x whose specs are not high enough to run this rom.

For the record, I’ve had my cellphone restart itself several times. Either when you’re opening youtube, or it’s used as a tethering hotspot. Somehow.

And lastly before I decide to move from this rom. At that time I opened youtube, then suddenly my redmi 4x cellphone restarted itself and bootlooped. Stuck on the bootloader screen only. And can not enter the main menu.

I think this is because the kernel has a problem, I tried to reinstall the kernel via twrp which is always installed on my cellphone, and still can’t.

The result is the same. So I decided to move the rom. Now I’m using the lineage os rom (android oreo).

Recommendation

For redmi 4x users who want to try this rom, it might not hurt to use it everyday.

But for games like pubg mobile, I don’t really recommend it.

For cellphones with better specs than redmi 4x, such as Asus max pro m1, redmi note 5, redmi note 7, this rom must run smoothly, for playing pubg games.
