Biomutant: Ranged Weapon Type Description

Biomutant gives you a wide variety of weapons. Whether it’s a weapon that deals damage from a distance or at close range, you’ll find hundreds of weapons to suit your player’s play style.

When you first start Biomutant, you will have access to five different types of ranged weapons. Some will unlock as you progress through the game’s story, but the next category is the mainstay for the whole game.

Starting from rifles, dual-wield guns, and shotguns, these are the Ranged Weapons you need to know before playing Biomutant.

Gun

Although you’ll find an amazing variety of weapons, Guns are usually one-handed weapons, like pistols.

The Wung Fu upgrade for the Gun lets you move quickly on the battlefield while dealing damage, and even lets you follow up melee attacks with quick bursts of fire.

Feather Flight: This ability allows you to equip and use all types of Guns.
Flipped Phoenix: Jumps while shooting at the opponent.
Sliding Snake: Move and shoot at the opponent. The best way to dodge damage without stopping your attacks.
Crane Dance: Dodge, perform a melee attack, then fire your weapon. This will result in a barrage of bullets to your enemy. Fill one Wung Fu icon.
Praying Mantis: Jump twice then fire the Gun to unleash a burst of fire. Hit the enemy by filling one Super Wung Fu icon.

Dual Wield Gun

You could say this is one of the most fun types of guns in Biomutant, Dual Wield Guns are basically the same category as Guns, the difference is that you will use two weapons at once. You must first unlock the Two Faced Cobra Grip before using the two weapons, after which you will gain access to these two additional skills:

Ethereum Horse: Dodge, perform a melee attack, then fire your weapon. This will cause you to throw both weapons at the targeted enemy and fill one Super Wung Fu icon.
Beetle Stone: Double jump and fire your gun to send a barrage of bullets from both guns.

Rifles

While they balance it all with added firepower, Rifles tend to fire a bit slower than most other types of guns. If you want to deal damage from a distance, and more damage from other weapons, there’s no better choice than a rifle.

Hawk Harrow: Allows you to use Rifle.
Bullet Crows: Gives you the ability to jump and shoot while flying.
Seeker Zone: Move and shoot at the enemy.
Cursed Beaver: Dodge, melee attack, then fire your weapon. Your chain of attacks will end with two shots dealing extra damage. Fill one Super Wung Fu icon.
Unstoppabel Duck: Double jump and fire your weapon to unleash a barrage of bullets at your target. Fill one Super Wung Fu icon.

Automatic Rifles

What’s not to like about Automatic Rifles? Capable of fast firing speed in Biomutant, this gun class is ideal for defeating large groups of enemies. Each bullet doesn’t do a lot of damage, but with a big clip and high fire rate, your target will drop before you know it.

Thousand Needles: Allows you to use Automatic Rifles.
Cloud Tongue: Jump and shoot while flying.
Buttermilk Knee: Move and shoot at the enemy.
Boom Dove: Dodge, melee, and fire your weapon to send a burst of bullets. Fill one Super Wung Fu icon.
Maniac Mule: Double jump and fire your weapon to perform a “full auto shooting flip”. Fill one Super Wung Fu icon.

Shotgun

Shotguns are excellent firearms for melee-based builds. Capable of dealing tremendous damage but lacking the range of other weapons, the shotgun is best for players who dare to approach the enemy.

Thundertouch: Allows you to use the Shotgun.
Goose Flip: Lets you jump and shoot while airborne.
Shinytoed Toad: Move and shoot at the enemy.
Deadly Owl: Dodge, melee, and fire your weapon to deliver two powerful shotgun blasts. Fill one Super Wung Fu icon.
Angry Panda: Double jump and fire your weapon to perform a backflip shotgun in the air. Fill one Super Wung Fu icon.

Unlockable Weapon Class

Throughout the game, you’ll find many other unique gear classes, including the Myriad Boomerang. It works the same way as the class above, although you’ll usually get some form of special skill as well. Keep working through the main quests and you’re sure to find some secret weapons.
