AOV Branch PVP Esports Championship Format

Along with the branch Dota 2, the AOV branch for the PVP Esports Championship is also underway. Nine teams will compete for prize pool of US$100,000.

The composition of the participating teams in this tournament is similar to the branch Dota 2. Three of the nine teams that played were invited teams, namely Monster Shield, FlipSid3 Tactics, and Legend of a Kid. While the remaining six are teams from six different countries, namely MaxBox Gaming (Philippines), Resurgence (Malaysia), Tamago (Singapore), Alpha X (Thailand), ExDee Gaming (India), and Bigetron Esports (Indonesia).

The format for this AOV branch is more straightforward. The six non-invited teams will compete in the first phase where they have to play with the format round robin best of three. The top five teams are entitled to advance to the round playoffs, where three invited teams await. Meanwhile, the bottom team is eliminated from the tournament.

Half playoffs will take place in the format double elimination best of three, except for the first three rounds lower bracket which is played with the format best of one, and the final round is played in the format best of five.

The group phase for the AOV branch of the PVP Esports Championship is ongoing until October 4th tomorrow. While the round playoffs will be played from 5 to 7 October.
