Anthem 2.0 Project Officially Canceled BioWare and EA
One of the games that had received high enthusiasm is now considered a failure after its release. Electronic Arts and BioWare decided to halt development of the Anthem project.
The disappointment was heard by BioWare and then formed a team to completely overhaul the game in the title Anthem NEXT or Anthem 2.0 which is being worked on by BioWare Austin, the same team that worked on Star Wars The Old Republic.
At first, they seemed fine, but a few weeks ago bad news came. Where the investigative journalist, Jason Schreier reports that EA will decide on the life and death of its new title.

In a question, Christian Dailey, studio head of BioWare Austin said that his team had been working hard for the ‘Anthem NEXT’ concept, but the COVID-19 pandemic had an impact on studio productivity.
“I know this will disappoint the Anthem community of players who have been excited to see the improvements we’ve been working on, said Dailey.
“It’s also disappointing for a team that did a brilliant job. And for me personally, the Anthem is what brought me to BioWare, and the last two years have been some of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my career..”
In the future, BioWare wants to focus on developing other game projects such as the latest Dragon Age, Mass Effect, and Star Wars The Old Republic.

They also did not forget to thank the community who have provided support for Anthem.
Even though Anthem was officially canceled, Dailey said that Anthem’s servers will continue to run without the latest updates. In other words, starting today the Anthem update has been officially discontinued.
