4+ How to Block Your Own Facebook Account 2021 (100% Successful)

Facebook is one of the largest social media with millions of users worldwide. With so many Facebook users, this social media giant is also growing and has sophisticated features.

However, recently some users are feeling anxious considering the news of the theft of data or user information from Facebook carried out by Facebook Cambridge Analytica. This is one of the reasons Facebook users block their accounts and are no longer interested in using Facebook.

How to Block Facebook Yourself

Blocking or deactivating a Facebook account itself consists of two types, namely temporary and permanent. You can choose from the two types that I describe, respectively, via an Android cellphone and a PC / Laptop (Click the link below to go directly to the discussion).

1. How to Block a FB Account Through an Android Phone

Not much different from a PC/laptop, how to block Facebook itself through the application and browser on Android can also be done. To temporarily block my Facebook account, do it via Facebook app that has been installed on Android.

Meanwhile, to permanently block or permanently delete a Facebook account on Android, use browser on Android you (I’m using Google Chrome).

A. Temporary FB Account Blocking

Open the Facebook application (can also be via a browser) on your Android, and login. Click on menu three horizontal lines.
Do scrolling down, select Settings & Privacy.
choose Account Settings.
In the Account Settings option, click options General.
Next, click Manage Account.
Click Deactivate to deactivate the account.
After that, select the reason for temporarily deactivating the account. Don’t forget to fill in the reason in the column provided under the options.
Tick to reject email from Facebook and click the button Deactivate.
Your account has been successfully deactivated temporarily. Click OK to log out of the account.

Similar to blocking via PC, on Android, temporarily deactivating your account can be recovered with login back to using e-mail and password your Facebook account.

B. Permanently Block FB Account

open browser on your Android (eg Google Chrome). Go to Facebook page and login to your account.
Visit link www.facebook.com/help/delete_account on the browser. You can do this on the tab you have open or by opening a new tab on the browser.
This page is a confirmation page for permanently deleting your Facebook account. insert password your account to continue. Then, press the button send.
Next, you will be notified of the schedule for the official deletion of your account permanently. This means that you cannot have your account back after it was deleted on that schedule. Click button Confirm Deletion to proceed with account deletion.
The schedule shown in the picture is 14 days later after I did this permanent blocking. If I don’t login before that date, my account will be completely deleted.
Your account is successfully scheduled for deletion 14 days later.

2. How to Block FB Account Via PC / Laptop

A. Temporary FB Account Blocking

The following steps will have your account temporarily deleted. Facebook users can temporarily no longer see your timeline. However, to reactivate the Facebook account, you can login as usual.

open browser on your PC (here I use browser Google Chrome). Then login your Facebook account.
On the Home page, click down arrow at the end of the menu (as in the picture). choose Arrangement.
After that you find the General Account Settings page. Click Edit in the Manage Accounts section.
Then the settings will appear under Manage Accounts. In the Deactivate your account section, click on writing Deactivate your account blue, as in the picture.
Then, you have to give a reason for deactivating your Facebook account. Here I choose the first reason. For each reason you choose, don’t forget to explain it in the column Please explain further. After that, you can tick the Reject email, if you don’t want any inbox that comes to your email from Facebook later. Then, click the button Closed.
A dialog box will appear that will verify you again. If you are sure to deactivate your Facebook account, click the button Deactivate Now.
Well, in this next image you will see info that your Facebook account has been successfully deactivated temporarily. However, to reactivate it, you can login as usual.

B. Permanently Block FB Account

open browser you and login on the Facebook page as usual. Continue by visiting the following page https://www.facebook.com/help/delete_account
Here you see the page that opens based on the previously mentioned link. Click button Delete My Account.
Next, a confirmation appears by filling in the password and code provided. After you fill in both, click the button OK. This section will confirm if you really want to delete your account.
After that, click OK. Your account is in successfully set up in the delete command.
There is information provided by Facebook (seen in the image above) that you can still undo the deletion of your Facebook account.
You do this by logging into Facebook as usual within the next 14 days. If you do not login at all during these 14 days then your Facebook account will be deleted forever.
After performing the steps above, Facebook will automatically return to the previous home page login.
