The creators of PUBG don't want the next game to be another "Battle Royale"!
If you are interested in Apex Legends, Fortnite, Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Blackout, PUBG, and other battle royale games, you should thank Brendan Greene, who created this genre and is also the creator of PUBG. Although he has been a pioneer and a director who made a name in video game history for creating battle royale, he does not want to work on any battle royale projects for now.
Yes, that’s right, Green wants to “move on” – for now only – rather than the genre and battle royale series. In a meeting with Game Informer, Green said he didn’t want players to expect him to create new hot genres with his newest game, because he didn’t mean to.
Don’t expect @PLAYERUNKNOWN to create an entirely new genre again… or PUBG 2. Watch our new interview to learn what the man who popularized the battle royale genre is doing next with his career. https://t.co/sfzVz0Do6B pic.twitter.com/XdbTECNOWY

Also, Greene didn’t want to use his popularity to create a PUBG sequel, because he saw that was not the way to go! “Next is something new,” said Greene.
Anything Greene wanted to do next would be of interest. After reigning among the most popular genres in video games, surely the next project should be just as great. But Greene wasn’t worried or depressed about this.
As for Greene’s next move, he still didn’t say or reveal anything else. We know he has something to keep secret, as he has recently stepped down from leading PUBG’s new projects. Hope you all don’t pressure him so he can still create fun games!
