What happy news for gamers other than free games. Now, one of the popular multiplayer games can be played by gamers via any platform. Surprisingly, Psyonix Studios announced that Rocket League will be a free to play game aka a free game. The good news is that this free-to-play version can be enjoyed on any platform, be it PC or console. Even player progress can be brought to any platform.

Rocket League will get some changes after becoming a free to play game. But the core gameplay of the game is still the same. The developer only changed and adjusted some game modes such as Tournament and Challenge. After becoming a free to play game, Rocket League will also get a cross-play feature, so players can compete against each other regardless of the platform used.

Rocket League will be a free to play game with cross-progression and cross-play.

For those who have already bought Rocket League before, will also get a prize. Namely giving the status of Legacy Edition and entitled to a prize from that edition after Rocket League officially become a free to play game. Prizes that can be obtained include:
