Surprisingly, Psyonix Studios announced that Rocket League will be a free to play game aka a free game. The good news is that this free-to-play version can be enjoyed on any platform, be it PC or console. Even player progress can be brought to any platform.
Rocket League will get some changes after becoming a free to play game. But the core gameplay of the game is still the same. The developer only changed and adjusted some game modes such as Tournament and Challenge. After becoming a free to play game, Rocket League will also get a cross-play feature, so players can compete against each other regardless of the platform used.
