PC and Asia Are Still PUBG's Sources of Revenue in 2021

Not on the mobile platform, the PC has even become a source of PUBG’s income.

It can be said that PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds or commonly shortened to PUBG is a pioneer of battle royale games in recent years. The success of PUBG in the market has made several developers or publishers start to include the battle royale mode in their games. Not even a few games also use battle royale as the main gameplay. Even though there are already many competitors in the market, PUGB still earned fantastic revenue gains in 2021.

According to a report from Naver Sports, PUBG Corp reported revenues of USD 920 million or around 12 trillion Rupiah throughout 2021. From this extraordinary figure, PUBG Corp was recorded to have managed to reap a profit of around USD 310 million or 4.3 trillion Rupiah. But interestingly, most of the revenue actually comes from the PC version and not from the mobile version. Through PC, PUBG earns around USD 790 million or 86% of the total. Even though it doesn’t contribute as much as the PC, at least the mobile version still records a higher profit figure than the console version.

Asia is also still PUBG’s biggest market, where 53% of the revenue comes from there. The rest is the Americas and Europe. It’s surprising indeed, where Asian players play PUBG more than players from America and Europe.

Until now, PUBG still continues to defend itself from competitors by presenting a variety of new content. Are any of you still playing PUBG on PC or ? mobile?
