Here's How to Solve Problems That Appear on iOS 10
iOS 10 was just released to the public on September 13 last. Unfortunately there are a number of reports indicating the emergence of a number of problems that interfere with the performance of the iPad and iPhone after users update their operating systems.
If you are an iPad or iPhone user and encounter a number of problems after updating the OS, don’t worry and panic. There are many ways to solve problems in iOS 10. Some types of problems that arise do need to be addressed immediately, and some of them can be handled easily.
From low battery life, poor Bluetooth connectivity, to iPad and iPhone freezing (read: inoperable) after an update, we’re here to help iPad and iPhone users deal with some of the issues.
- Issues on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
Problems with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth have become Apple’s main subscription, and it seems that the same thing continues to happen with iOS 10. Just wait, then there will be a lot of complaints about Wi-Fi and Bluetooth functions on iOS 10 which are often disrupted. It’s just that it will be easy for you to solve the problem. What we did to solve the problem was quite simple. We only take the existing device then direct access to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. By selecting the Reset Network Settings option, the wireless connectivity on your device will return to the initial settings. Don’t worry, your saved data will remain intact. This method will usually solve problems related to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
2. Lost cellular network and can’t reconnect
Some iOS 10 users are having a problem where their iPhone loses cellular signal, and most of them can’t get signal back even if the phone has been moved to an area where cell phone signal is abundant. Restarting the iPhone is a great solution, although it’s really only a temporary solution. Some mobile vendors advise users to reinstall iOS 10 by connecting it to a Mac or PC, using iTunes.
If you experience a similar problem, you need to downgrade iOS 10 to an earlier version, and then re-install iOS 10 in the manner described above.
3. Apps that can’t be deleted
This is becoming a common problem that other iOS 10 users are also facing. There have been many incoming reports reporting an issue where users were unable to uninstall the app. When trying to do this, there is only a message that says “waiting”, and the X icon that usually appears is not there at all.
The only solution is to do hard reset on your iOS 10 device. Do this by pressing and holding down the button power and home at the same time, for ten seconds until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn’t work, make sure that you don’t have any apps installed in the background while you’re trying to delete other apps. Do this by opening the App Store, then tapping on the Updates > Purchased section. If there is an application in the section background, then change the phone mode to Airplane mode, then tap on the apps section to stop them. Then turn it off airplane mode and download apps one by one.
You may also need to reset all the initial settings. Open “Settings”, then select ‘General’. Navigate the menu down to look for ‘Reset’ and then ‘Reset All Settings’.
4. Fast battery drain
The iOS 10.1 update might fix this problem, but you can do a few things until the latest update appears.
Turn off applications running in the background by accessing the Settings menu. General > Background App Refresh. A list of apps will open and you won’t need all of them. For example, you can turn off Fitness Tracking via Settings > Privacy > Motion & Fitness. Also, turn off Waze, Tripadvisor, Microsoft Health and Health which are actually not very useful. Use Wi-Fi wisely, and turn on Wi-Fi connections when you’re at home. Some other applications such as Twitter and apps streaming also eats up a lot of battery resources. Turn off both by accessing Settings > Battery.
