Dota 2: The International Preview
Maybe this year there will be Black Hole worth US$10 million?
The long-awaited time will soon be here, the time for professional players Dota 2 fighting for trophies Aegis and also compete for the grand prize of US$10 million for the year. As said Gabe Newell as cofounder Valve Corp. “Welcome to the International”.
Dota 2’s annual event called The International will start on August 15 – August 25 next and this time it will take place at Rogers Arena, Vancouver, Canada. As of this writing, the total prize pool is at US$24,264,052 where the team that ranks first will bring in US$10,632,183. The numbers are no joke, especially compared to previous years.
This year, Valve decided to use a different system from previous years. This year Valve officially uses a new system called Dota Pro Circuit (or DPC for short). During the year Dota 2 professional teams will compete not only for prizes but also collect DPC. The 8 teams with the highest number of DPCs will be immediately included in the team that will be immediately invited to become competitors at The International, and the rest are selected by conducting a qualifying round.

With the same format as in previous years. Where the teams are divided into 2 groups and the team that occupies the lowest position in the group will be immediately eliminated, and the rest will be placed into the bracket with the system double elimination. And Valve has just released which teams are in Groups A and B. You can see below!
Not only groups were announced by Valve, they also announced teams for All-star Match which is the most awaited event in The International competition.
