Bethesda Confirms Fallout 76 Will Not Be a Free to Play Game
Do not expect too much.
Recently out there are rumors that mention Fallout 76 will be a game free to play aka free. This rumor suddenly surfaced after a report said the physical version of Fallout 76 was running low in Australia. This information on the problem of running out of stock was reported by someone who was visiting EB Games, a video game store in Australia to buy a physical version of Fallout 74 but couldn’t find it there. Actually this rumor is clearly false.
Often hearing these increasingly confusing rumors made one of the Fallout 76 players start to get worried. He even wrote a message to Bethesda directly via Twitter stating that if Fallout 76 becomes a free game, he wants his money back. This message was immediately answered by Bethesda who said that the rumors were not true.
There is no truth to this rumor.

Even to quell this rumor, EB Games also sent a message via Twitter that they will continue to support Fallout 76 stating that Fallout 76 is still an active product in their store.
Hi Andrew,
This information is categorically incorrect. EB Games will continue to support Fallout 76 both brand new and preowned, and it remains an active product through both our stores and website. Customers can now pick up the EB Exclusive Tricentennial Edition for $79.95.

Fallout 76 is now available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
