80% of Capcom Game Sales Now Come from the Digital Version!

In their latest financial report, Capcom came up with some surprising news. Where they admit that currently 80% of Capcom’s game sales come from the digital version. This figure is a sharp increase from 2021, where only about 53% of total sales are digital versions.

Capcom itself has ambitions to continue to push this figure to reach 90% in the future. One of the main contributors to this figure is, of course, Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, which is popular across all platforms.

With this report, it is certain that Capcom in the future will struggle to maximize the potential benefits that the digital version can offer and suppress the distribution of physical games to only 10%.
