Wow, League of Legends Developer Employees Threaten to Strike

Telset.id, Jakarta – Developer games League of Legends, Riot Games still not free from internal problems in their company. Some time ago, Riot Games stumbled upon a case gender discrimination. Just trying to solve it, they got threats instead strike from its employees.

While making efforts to prevent employees from taking legal action to court related to discrimination cases, developer Instead, they received threats from their employees. They threatened a mass strike.

According to reports DoteSport, as quoted Telset.id on Friday (03/05/2021), they were disappointed with the completion of the gender discrimination case by the RIot Games.

They considered that the company’s efforts to prevent two female employees from mediating by arbitration were only an attempt to save themselves.

The employees thought that the company’s leadership did not show an attitude of responsibility for the case. On the other hand, they seem to want to wash their hands by making unprocedural efforts.

Although Riot Games has apologized, the employees cannot accept it. Thus, the employees have since a few months ago drawn up a plan for a strike that will be carried out on May 6, 2021.

They don’t even care about the risk of being fired. The employees emphasized that the strike would stop if the company annulled the forced revocation of the arbitration within the next six months. They also asked the company not to take similar actions when there were other cases.

Several employees were not willing to provide further confirmation about the strike. An employee admitted that he fully supports the decision, although he has not confirmed that he will join the strike. (BA/FHP)
