With GeForce NOW, Apple Users Can Get Back to Playing Fortnite

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – Fortnite, which had been blocked from iOS devices for violating the rules, will again be accessible to Apple device users. NVIDIA announced GeForce NOW, the company’s cloud gaming system, will bring a touch version of Fortnite to iOS via Safari.

“GeForce NOW streaming on iOS Safari, in beta, starting today,” NVIDIA wrote on the official blog, quoted Sunday (11/22/2021).

This monthly subscription platform from 4.99 dollars provides a variety of popular PC games, including Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Destiny 2 Beyond Light, Shaodw of the Tomb Raider and Watch Dogs: Legion. GeForce NOW can be played on iPad and iPhone devices. Fortnite is not currently available on GeForce NOW as NVIDIA and Epic Games are refining Fortnite to make it smoother when played on touchscreen devices.

“We’re looking forward to delivering the GeForce NOW-powered Fortnite cloud streaming mobile gaming experience,” said NVIDIA.

Apple is at loggerheads with Epic Games, the developer of the Fortnite game because the latter created their own payment system instead of using the one provided in the App Store. As a result, the game was removed from the App Store app store.

Documents filed in a court battle between Epic and Apple state there are 116 million Fortnite players playing on iOS. A total of 73 million only play this game on iOS. The number of daily active users on iOS reaches 2.5 million or 10 percent of the 25 million who play every day on all platforms. On a mobile basis, more in-app purchases are made on iOS than on Android.
