What ynew?

League of Legends: Wild Rift’s closed beta includes a number of new additions to the game, since alpha testing earlier this year. Here are the new additions you can get:

Six champions from the world of Legends of Runeterra will appear in Wild Rift. To get it, players can grab or buy champions from the start of the Closed Beta, namely Amumu, Dr. Mundo, Jarvan IV, Sona, Singed, and Varus.

For the first time, skins and other cosmetic content will be available for purchase (using Wild Rift’s paid currency called Wild Core). There are almost 300 new items, including skins, emotes, and recalls. There are also new items like champion poses, in-game emblems, and baubles, a way to brag to opponents when a player knocks them out.

The ranking system in Wild Rift brings a new level, namely Emerald. This ranking system offers a competitive and fun way to play with friends. Meanwhile, at its higher end, the Victory Point system (similar to League Point in League PC) encourages players to fight for the top spot on the leaderboard.

Camera options and in-game controls are significantly improved with semi-locked cameras, picture-in-picture, mini-map movement, and custom button layouts to allow players to customize the way they play.

Players can register via the Wild Rift website for the opportunity to take part in a small test for iOS devices, which runs in conjunction with the Closed Beta.

Launching

Closed Beta Wild Rift opened in stages, starting from Indonesia on September 16, followed by the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore, then continued with other regions in the following months.

Players who have pre-registered on the Google Play Store will be randomly and incrementally selected to receive access, along with a number of content creators, media and VIPs who are invited directly while the Closed Beta in their region is running.
