Telset.id, Jakarta – Recently Kaspersky experts have discovered hundreds of phishing pages, which aim to steal PUBG Mobile accounts. Obviously this is a warning for PUBG Mobile players.

Game developers often offer incentives or small prizes in exchange for playing their games. The prizes given can be in-game items such as costumes or skins for weapons.

Moreover, this battle royale mobile game has just started a new season, with the latest items, monsters, and mechanics from another popular game, Metro: Exodus.

As is often the case, cybercriminals such as scammer Don’t miss a great opportunity to take advantage of new gaming activities. The goal is clear, to take advantage of ordinary users who are easily tempted by the rewards of the game.

Hundreds of PUBG Mobile Phishing Pages Found

Kaspersky has identified at least 260 phishing pages, which offer users the opportunity to win new items. To get the prize, users only need to submit their game account via their Twitter or Facebook profile.

After failed entry, users will be asked to provide additional information, including the alias they used in the game, phone number and other personal details.

As a result, the scammer not only get user’s social media account but also additional personal details. All these efforts are aimed at selling the user’s game account and making a profit.

“The phishing page we found was designed in a very convincing way, both in design and in the interface, which is usually very familiar to gamers,” comments Tatyana Shcherbakova, security expert at Kaspersky.

To avoid becoming a victim of phishing with such schemes, Kaspersky has recommendations for gamers.
