Valve targets Steam Deck to reach at least 30fps

GAMEFINITY.ID, Bandung City — Playing PC games on handhelds has become a trend that has been widely discussed by the gamer community in recent times. Call it like Smach-Z, Aya Neo, and even Valve enlivened by announcing the Steam Deck which is believed to be the most promising handheld PC.

However, this trend is enough to cause doubt and controversy among gamers. The reason is that with hardware limitations it is feared that it will not be able to handle video games on PCs, especially next-gen outputs that require higher specifications.

This concern was then answered by a coder from Valve named Pierre-Loup Griffais. In his Twitter account he explained that they are targeting the Steam Deck to be able to run video games at a minimum of 30fps to meet the “playable” category in their handheld PC.

Griffais said that various video games have been tested and meet these targets consistently, even exceeding them. In addition, he also explained that the Steam Deck has an FPS Limiter feature that gives users the freedom to choose performance or battery life.

But unfortunately, Griffais has not explained specifically about the video game titles that have been tested and meet expectations as “playable” video games.

Are you interested in buying this handheld PC from Valve? If you’re interested, it looks like you need to be patient first because Valve doesn’t have any plans to market Steam Deck in Indonesia. You can check more information about Steam Deck through their official website here.
