Valve implements the Elo System for players with the highest ranking Dota Underlords
Valve Corporation as the developer and publisher of Dota Underlords has now made some major changes to the Lord of White Spire ranking system in the game through the latest patch.
In this new patch, Valve is introducing the Elo System to players who have reached the rank of Lord of White Spire. These systems are the same as those used for Dota 2 in PvP matchmaking.
Elo System is a method to calculate the relative skill level of each player in the game with other players.
This means that the number of ranking points a player will increase or decrease will now depend on the opponent’s level.
“The higher your Rank Score compared to your opponent, the more is at stake: a win will result in a smaller increase, while a loss will result in a larger decrease,” said Dota Underlords developer Fletcher “Fletcherd” Dunn.
Leh continued Fletcher also explained that this change was intended to separate the best players from those who played the most.
Valve also said in this new patch note that the current ranking score in Lords of White Spire has been adjusted “by maintaining the existing leaderboard position.”
In addition, this patch also includes several improvements to heroes and a few reworks, including fixes for Juggernaut’s Blade Fury, zero Mana in Ogre Magi’s Bloodlust, and the addition of Scrappy for Sniper.
The effects of some items have also been changed. You can read more HERE.
