This Woman Accuses League of Legends Of Taking Her Face To Create Seraphine!

This Woman Accuses League of Legends Of Taking Her Face To Make Seraphine!

There is a controversy going on in the world of League of Legends, but this is not like the usual controversy that may be related to gameplay or meta.

This is because, after LoL released its newest champion, Seraphine, on October 13, a woman accused Riot Games of stealing images and violating their privacy.

Stephanie, the woman who accused LoL claimed that the name, character and character of the champion Seraphine were all based on the figure of her who had a relationship with a Riot employee in 2021.

“I actually had a brief relationship with a Riot employee last year, in early 2021,” explains Stephanie

“I graduated from college, eventually dyed my hair pink, moved to California, and started my first job without a second thought in my brief contact with him.”

“So, a year after I stopped talking to each other, Seraphine, an optimistic girl with pink hair, who had just started working towards her dream – started posting on Twitter, and ended up becoming the newest LoL Champion.” – Stephanie

It was this resemblance of Seraphine’s figure and character that prompted Stephanie to speak to a lawyer and want to take legal action against Riot Games.

Riot Games Response

Of course it didn’t take long for Riot Games to hear this news and they immediately denied Stephanie’s claims.

“Seraphine has been independently created by Riot Games and is not based on any individual.”

“Besides, the former employee you mean [Stephanie] left Riot more than a year ago and had no hand in the creative design process.”

This news will still develop with time especially if Stephanie will actually raise a lawsuit against Riot Games.

But for the time being, Champion Seraphine will still be available on LoL PC and also LoL Wild Rift which was just released at the end of last October!
