Porsche Launches Into Cyberpunk 2077's Dark Future
GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – CD PROJEKT RED announced that their studio has remade the classic Porsche 911 Turbo for inclusion in their upcoming video game, Cyberpunk 2077. First teased at the end of the video for the latest episode of Night City Wire’s online event, Cyberpunk 2077 Porsche 911 Turbo. , based on the model that first appeared in 1974, will be included in the game as a unique car to drive. His presence is associated with one of the main characters — rebel rocker Johnny Silverhand, played and portrayed by Keanu Reeves.
This iconic car retains the classic look of 1977, painstakingly remade and adapted by concept artists and the CD PROJEKT RED vehicle using sketches, photographs and photogrammetry. This model was adapted to the real world in 2077 using additions such as a lidar on the front, a pair of sensors and elements to identify the vehicle from the sky, and an electronic glass with a monitor on the inside of the car.
“Johnny is a legend in the Cyberpunk world. When thinking about what car he drove while exploring Night City, we understood that it had to be as legendary as its owner. With the background of Johnny’s story, and we are huge Porsche fans, the answer is the classic 911 Turbo,” said Paweł Mielniczuk, Art Director of Characters, Weapons and Vehicles, CD PROJEKT RED.
To complement the appearance of the 911 Turbo in the game, an original version of Johnny Silverhand’s rideable vehicle has been built. The car will be available for display on the front lawn of the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart from October 15 to October 22, 2021. There will also be commercial recording of a commercial at the location, telling the story of a car that retains a mysterious relationship with its previous owner.
Cyberpunk 2077 will release on November 19, 2021 for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Stadia. It can also be played on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 consoles when available. In early 2021 there will be a free upgrade for the next-generation console version of Cyberpunk 2077, for all owners of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions.
