No Long Wait, Rekkles Immediately Replace Perkz in G2!

Former AD carry from Fnatic, Rekkles has joined the League of Legends team G2 Esports to replace Perkz in bot lane, his organization announced today.

Rekkles, known as one of the best European ADCs of all time, has left a legacy with Fnatic to join G2, the best team in Europe at the moment.

But Rekkles has big shoes to fill. The legendary Mid Laner Perkz, who won 13 titles with G2 in his career, has left the team to join Cloud9.

Rekkles left Fnatic on November 18 after he informed the organization he wanted to join a new team. G2 is his first new team in eight years.

Rekkles won nine titles with Fnatic but have failed regionally over the last few years losing to G2.

Earlier this year, Fnatic lost in both splits to G2 in convincing fashion but recently won the LEC Regional Finals against Splyce.

Rekkles will play alongside his former Fnatic Caps team-mates, with whom he played in 2021 and 2021. The pair beat G2 and Schalke, respectively, in the 2021 EU LCS Spring and Summer finals.

The victory was one of the best European squad records at Worlds in history. Fnatic finished second in 2021 but lost to Invictus Gaming in the final 3-0.

Rekkles will play alongside Caps, Jankos, Wunder, and Mikyx in G2 for the start of the 2021 LEC Spring Split, which kicks off next year.
