Getting more serious in fighting games, T1 recruits a Super Smash Bros master. Ultimate

South Korean esports organization, T1 Entertainment & Sports, has increasingly shown their seriousness in expanding into fighting games in North America by recruiting one Super Smash Bros. player. Ultimate (SSBU), Leonardo “MkLeo” Lopez Perez.

This is a big breakthrough made by T1 in expanding its wings because MkLeo has been widely recognized as one of the greatest players of all time in the SSBU scene.

Along with T1, MkLeo will join the SSBU’s existing roster that has previously been strengthened by players such as Jason “Ant” Bates.

The joining of MkLeo was also welcomed by the CEO of T1, Joe Marsh, and believed that the 19-year-old player would continue his glory and become a legend in his organization.

“I am very pleased that MkLeo has joined T1 as he will continue to strengthen our presence in North America and make clear T1’s commitment to the fighting games community,” said Joe Marsh as quoted by Talkesports.

“I’m sure he will be able to continue his status as one of the greatest players of all time and make his own mark in T1 in the coming years.”

Besides Joe Marsh, this certainty was also welcomed by MkLeo. He also hopes to repay the great trust that has been given by T1 to him.

“So excited to join T1! I hope to continue to do well in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and I are aware that this is only the beginning of many great things with my new family T1,” said MkLeo.

MkLeo started his gaming career at the age of eight when he entered the competitive scene of Smash Bros at Anime Expo Mexico TNT 2009. His career continued to soar to the highest level after playing the Joker character.

Since then, MkLeo has won a number of tournaments such as GENESIS 6, Smash Ultimate Summit, MomoCon 2021, Smash ‘N’ Splash 5, and of course the most famous at EVO 2021 and Super Smash Con 2021. Recently he also managed to become the best in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Singles at Frostbite 2021.
