Epic Offers Sony 2.9 Trillion to Bring PlayStation Exclusive Games to the Epic Games Store

GAMEFINITY.ID, Purworejo – The lawsuit trial between Epic Games vs. Apple continues to produce very interesting information. A number of documents continued to appear during the trial process.

Having previously leaked about the fees that Epic Games will charge for giving away free games, this time it appears that Epic Games appears to be offering Sony $200 million to bring PlayStation-exclusive games to PC that will be exclusively on the Epic Games Store.

Epic Games Document

According to PC Gamer, the document says “$200M MG+ for 4-6 titles,” which means Epic Games is offering Sony $200 million for 4-6 titles. The word “MG” means “minimum guarantee”.

This minimum guarantee means that Epic Games will guarantee Sony $200 million regardless of how the game will succeed or not. Unfortunately it’s not clear whether this $200 million is for one game or for all of the games.

Until now there is no information what games will fill the 4-6 titles offered . So far there are only two Sony games that are exclusive to the Epic Games Store, namely ReadySet Heroes and Predator: Hunting Grounds considering that Horizon Zero Dawn and Days Gone are also available on Steam.

Interestingly, this is the same amount that Sony invested in Epic Games not too long ago. However, according to the document, the offer from Epic Games is currently still awaiting a response from Sony.

Not only that, the document also shows that Epic Games is also approaching Microsoft and Nintendo. But on Microsoft’s side, they are against Epic Games’ plans and will remain competitors who offer their respective content.

For Nintendo, Epic Games considers it a “non-starter” considering that in history, Nintendo has never been interested in releasing its games on other platforms.

Rumors about the presence of PlayStation exclusive games on PC have indeed strengthened after last February, CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, Jim Ryan stated that he would bring PlayStation exclusive games to PC starting with Days Gone which will be released this month.
