BPK Builds the Spirit of Togetherness Through E-Sport Competition

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – The Indonesian Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) builds a spirit of togetherness and effective communication with the public through PUBG Mobile and Mobile Legends e-Sport competitions. This e-Sport competition was held as one of the activities to commemorate the 76th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia and a series of Spirit for the Country activities that were able to strengthen the relationship between BPK and other agencies and the general public.

“The e-Sport competition, which is being held by BPK this time, is expected to improve brain health, improve problem-solving and critical thinking skills, as well as improve memory, and develop cognitive abilities. These two games are concerned with strategy, correct role selection and cooperation,” explained BPK Chairman Agung Firman Sampurna in his remarks today (19/8) at the Virtual BPK E-Sport Contest Final event.

This competition was opened on August 16, 2021, and today the final race took place with the number of teams that passed the preliminary round were 16 PUBG Mobile teams or 96 participants, and 4 Mobile Legends teams or 28 participants. The total participants who survived in the final stage were 124 people.

BPK chose e-Sport as one of the competitions to commemorate the Indonesian Independence Day due to the increasing popularity of this sport. This e-Sport competition is the second time organized by BPK. At the commemoration of the 74th Anniversary of BPK in 2021, the participants of the BPK e-Sport competition for the PUBG Mobile and Mobile Legends games amounted to 51 teams with a total of 343 participants and 46 individual participants. This year, the number of teams in the BPK e-Sport competition is 56 teams with a total of 566 participants.

This is evidence of the large number of enthusiasts and participants in every competition held by BPK. At the opening of the e-Sport competition last Monday, August 16, which was broadcast live on BPK’s Youtube, it was watched by more than 3000 viewers. This is proof that the popularity of the two games is increasingly widespread in all circles.

This e-Sport competition is also BPK’s support in creating positive activities to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, with the Spirit for the Country continuing to work, never giving up, and maintaining health protocols. “In addition, with the increasing globalization of e-Sports, BPK hopes that there will be gold, silver or bronze medals that will be produced by Indonesian e-Sport athletes on a national and international scale,” concluded the Chairman of the BPK.
