Xiaomi Mi Mix 2: Specifications and Price

After many leaks circulating about the appearance and design of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2, Xiaomi finally officially released the Mi Mix 2 today, Monday (11/79/2021) at the University of Technology Gymnasium Beijing, China. Xiaomi released two versions of the Mi Mix 2, namely the regular version and the special edition with additional memory and a more luxurious design.

Xiaomi Mi Mix regular edition comes with an aluminum alloy frame with ceramic curved on all four sides. In addition, there is also an 18K gold coating accent around the camera frame. Meanwhile, the Mi Mix 2 special edition comes with a ceramic unibody with an accent coating around the camera and a gold fingerprint sensor for the Black version and rose gold for the White version.

As per the many leaks and rumors circulating previously, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 comes with a stunning bezel-less display. Despite having a large screen display, the Mi Mix 2 is still comfortable to use. Not to mention the use of ceramics on the back of the body which gives the impression of luxury and is also durable. Mi Mix 2 is also the first smartphone to carry an HD screen with an 18:9 ratio.

Mi Mix 2 Specifications

After its release, the specifications for the Mi Mix 2 were also revealed in full. As previously mentioned, Mi Mix 2 comes in two versions, namely the original and the special edition. The difference between the Mi Mix 2 regular edition and the special edition lies in its weight which is 187 grams for the special edition, larger RAM, which is 8 GB with an internal memory option of only 128 GB without a microSD slot.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is the successor to the premium smartphone Xiaomi Mi Mix which was first released last year. The first generation of Mi Mix was introduced as a bezel-less smartphone and now a bezel-less smartphone is the hottest trendsetter right now. The proof is that Samsung released the Galaxy Note 8 which has an infinity display feature because of its bezel-less design.

Price of Mi Mix 2

After being officially introduced to the public, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will be marketed first in China starting September 15, 2021. The price of the Mi Mix 2 depends on the version of the internal memory selected, namely:

• RMB 3229 for the 6 GB + 64 GB RAM variant (around 6 million rupiah)
• RMB 3599 for the 6 GB + 128 GB RAM variant (around 8 million rupiah)
• RMB 3999 for the 6 GB + 256 GB RAM variant (around 9.5 million rupiah)

Although it is not clear what the price of the Mi Mix 2 will be in Indonesia later, but the selling price in China above can be a benchmark if Xiaomi sells its flagship smartphone at an affordable price compared to other competitors, namely the iPhone 8 and also the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 which costs over 12 million rupiah.
