Biomutant is a game full of choices. Carving your own path and tweaking the storyline is a pleasure in itself, but for the most part the narrative remains the same regardless of how you decide to tackle the post-apocalyptic issues.

If you are having trouble in the world of Biomutants, we are here to help you. This article is a part walkthrough that will show you how to complete the main quest, provide tips on how to overcome boss challenges, and remind you if you want to quit and overcome some side quests.

To start, let’s finish the first part first by defeating the Jumbo Puff which is troublesome for all of us.

Complete the Tutorial and Join the Tribe

Before spending time having fun in the world of Biomutants, you must complete the tedious tutorial stages. Just follow the on-screen instructions until you are faced with the big decision, whether to join the Jagni Tribe or Myriad.

If you choose to join the Myriad tribe, you will be tasked with having all other Tribes cooperate with your Sifu. On the other hand, if you join Jagni, then you will try to defeat all rivals and become the only Tribe (Tribe) remaining. Please make your choice here.

Regardless of the choice, most games follow the same format. For the sake of simplicity, this guide assumes you have joined the Myriad Tribe.

Visit Gizmo To Know About Your Childhood

As part of the Myriad Tribe, the player’s first task is to visit Gizmo and learn how to defeat the World Eater. Along the way, you will experience flashbacks, introducing you to various game mechanics such as swimming and crafting.

Some of your decisions here will have an impact on future dialogue, so pay close attention to how you respond to each old neighbor.

Along the way to Gizmo, you might find some mounts. Take a few seconds to find the nearest Pip and tame one of them.

Once you walk into Gizmo, they’ll ask you to run a few quests to help prepare Mekton before bringing him into battle against Jumbo Puff. Follow the quest markers on the screen, collect the last remaining Gizmo materials, and return to the old mechanics.

With Mekton now working, Gizmo will send you a few more quests before releasing you from Jumbo Puff. When using Mekton during quests, be careful when you descend, you will often use giant mechs in oxygen-starved locations full of mud puddles which slows your movement.

You only have a small amount of time when you leave Mekton to explore before taking any damage, so be sure to keep an eye on your own oxygen levels.

There’s a good reason to jump out of Mekton, because tons of great equipment are hiding under mud puddles and in crumbling old buildings. We’d highly recommend taking a few minutes to explore the area before heading back to Gizmo and stocking up on as much gear as you can find.

Fight Jumbo Puff

After running around Mekton and learning its controls, you’ll want to jump right into Jumbo Puff. This is the first Biomutant strongest boss, and it’s your first real challenge. The fight will take place over several different phases, the tactics you use should mostly remain unchanged until the Jumbo Puff drops.

Despite its powerful attack, Jumbo Puff signals its attack before releasing it at you. Keep an eye on his behavior, and if you see anything abnormal be prepared to dodge. However, whatever you do, make sure to always shoot at his vulnerable head.

Until eventually you will reach a point where Jumbo Puff starts pulling everything on the battlefield towards its mouth and becomes invincible. When this happens, release your special attack, press the L2 button to send explosives straight into his mouth. Keep doing it, and the Jumbo Puff will eventually drop.

Explore The Ark

After the Jumbo Puff falls, your next task is to meet the Out-of-Date in the Tree of Life. He’ll give you rundown details about the Ark he’s found, and task you with finding the person you want to board in case of an emergency. There will only be room for four passengers, so choose wisely as you make your way through the rest of the game.

Time For Side Quest

Before moving on to the next guide, now is the perfect time to start exploring the world of Biomutants. Complete some side quests, find more mounts, and start crafting powerful new weapons. Although some zones are flooded with enemies far above your skill level, most of the Biomutant side missions are not that difficult.

This is the right time to collect some epic new gear, then you are ready to start heading for Porky Puff.
