UniPin Holds USW Ladies Championship Series MLBB 2021

After successfully holding the UNITY Student Warchief (USW) competition, now UniPin Community again presents an esport competition entitled USW Ladies Championship. As the name implies, this tournament is specifically intended for women, especially female students.

As planned, this tournament has been officially held on September 3-5, 2021. There are 31 teams that have participated in this tournament consisting of 25 universities throughout Indonesia. Even well-known universities such as Gadjah Mada University (UGM, Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) and Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) sent more than one team to represent the big names of their universities.

The tournament this time was also more lively because there were several new names who also sent their representatives. Among these names are Multimedia Nusantara University, Jambi University, Polimedia Kreatif, Telkom University and UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta.

Through Mobile Legends: Bang Bang must show the strength of their skills. The first stage of the game will open with a match featuring 5 campuses from outside the UNITY Student Warchief. Where these five campuses have to fight for the best 2nd position in the Group Stage.

Later, the 2 teams that managed to occupy the top position were entitled to advance to the main qualifying round together with the UNITY Student Warchief team. The match in the qualifying round itself was held on Saturday (4/9). By carrying out the single elimination bracket and best-of-one system, each team only has one chance to advance to the semi-finals.

The best four teams that qualify in the semifinals will get tickets to the Play-in Ladies Series. They will compete in a best-of-three format with only the two best teams remaining who will meet in the final round. In addition, the four best teams in the semifinals at the USW Ladies Championship also had the opportunity to appear in the UniPin Ladies Series Season 2 Play-In round.

Where in this prestigious match there is only one slot that they have to fight for. The UniPin Ladies Series Tournament is a competition specifically designed for female esports teams in Indonesia. UniPin Ladies Series compete for a Prizepool of Rp. 10,500,000.

According to Debora Imanuella as Senior Vice President of UniPin Community, this tournament is in line with UniPin’s vision which wants to encourage female talents to grow and develop.

“Besides at the professional level, we hope that this tournament can nurture female esports talents from an earlier age. We believe that having the opportunity to compete early will not only give you the ability to be more honed, but other aspects such as self-confidence, a sense of competitiveness can also grow,” added Debora again.
