RE8 Village Guide Part 3: Heisenberg's Trap and Meeting the Duke's Merchant

After going through the Maiden of War in the Resident Evil Village guide part 2, now that you have met a group of humans who live here, now we start the RE Village guide part 3.

After talking to the injured father and daughter, exit the hut window and destroy the box in front of you to get Handgun Ammo. You’ll also see some Gunpowder nearby, so go up and grab it and then crawl through the hole in the wall.

You can open the door in the outside toilet on the right to get some Chem Fluid. After getting it, turn around and open the large metal gate near the lit shrine to let the citizens in, after which a cutscene will occur.

You can save game data on a typewriter once you enter the house and also browse through the photo album, before continuing through the house to trigger another cutscene.

Now you have to escape from the burning house. Walk into the next room and then turn to the left of the kitchen. There were a number of Lei’s in one of the cupboards, as well as a Truck Key in one of the drawers. Once you have the Truck Key, go to the Key Items in the Inventory. Zoom in on the clasp button and interact with it to open the keychain, revealing the Screwdriver.

Take the Shotgun bullets from the other side of the room and then head back to the truck. Use the Truck Key when interacting with the truck interior. After the cutscene, you’ll be climbing up, so follow the only route to trigger another cutscene. After that, you will be in the attic, out of the window and once again into the snow.

Demon and Maiden Crest

Go down and go to the locked shrine near the gate you opened for the citizens and use screwdriver to get Demon Crest. Unlock the gate again and go into the field to see a cutscene. Track your steps back through the Fallow Plot and into the Graveyard.

Once you get there, head to the door to the North, which is marked on the map above, and place the Demon Crest on the right and the Maiden Crest on the left. Rotate until the picture matches the picture on the door and walk forward, then the door will open.

Go ahead, and shoot the crows at the wood in front of you for free Lei. Now head for the suspension bridge, through the tunnel, and up the stairs. Next pull the mechanical lever covered by the yellow tape to see another cutscene.

Heisenberg’s Trap

After the cutscene, you will be thrown into a challenge where you are being chased by enemies with their hands tied in front of you. Follow the steps below to survive:

Go straight ahead to the only available path
After a few seconds, you will come to a crossroads and a werewolf will appear in the right lane, you have to take the left path.
The road ahead is blocked, so look at the planks blocking the way and interact with them to remove the obstacles.
Drop down and run along the path straight ahead until a big kid jumps down and you will slide down into the hole.
If you’re not quick, the ceiling spikes will fall on you, so head to the back of the room where the wooden barricade is and find someone to interact with. Smash and crawl through the holes.
Keep running towards the lights until you fall.
If you take the left path, there’s a gap you can tuck into the corner, allowing you to dodge the blades and free your hands. Crawl under the blades and make sure you grab Handgun Ammo and Lei before heading into another room.
Now continue to follow the corridor. Finally you arrive at the barred door, unlock it and enter.
Head through the door and up the stairs to see the Vineyard of Castle Dimitrescu.

If you want extra Lei, there are some crows to shoot. Go down the road to the castle and you will meet The Duke, the merchant. Make sure you buy what you need in the future, such as ammunition, health meds, and others.

Remember! Buy only what you need, because later you have the opportunity to upgrade weapons. Don’t run out of Lei in the middle of the game. When finished, please reload all your weapons and get ready to enter Castle Dimitrescu in the Resident Evil Village part 4 guide which we will discuss next.
