PUBG Mobile Update New Map Miramar and More

The latest PUBG Mobile 0.5.0 update has been released today and the desert-themed map on PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, namely Miramar, is now available and can be directly played on PUBG Mobile, immediately download the latest update now from Google Play and the App Store. In addition to the new map the 0.5.0 update includes expanding the game with several new features, gameplay improvements, and other content.

Thanks to the great collaboration between PUBG Corp. and Tencent, PUBG Mobile was finally able to find the Miramar map for the first time compared to Xbox One. PUBG Corp. itself has not provided information on when it will be released on the console version, but for mobile gamers, you can enjoy it right now.

As officially revealed through Twitter, Patch 0.5.0 marks the start Second Season from PUBG Mobile, along with Progress Missions new, now there is also a feature Local Quick Teams; where players can enter a six-digit code to join their closest friends. Region System new allows players to select a region and display a flag, while Secret Stash allows its players to buy items at special discounts. There are also new vehicles and weapons.

What’s new

  • The Desert Map (“Miramar”) is now available to choose from. See if you can find new vehicles and weapons!
  • New Mission Progress: collect progress rewards when you reach new levels, then take on new missions.
  • Added weekly Activity missions: get rewards based on your Activity.
  • Added local quick team feature: enter a 6-digit code to join the friend next to you.
  • Added Synergy and Connections: interact with your friends in the game to increase Synergy, then build Connections when your Synergy is high enough.
  • Added Region: now you can choose your region and flag.
  • Added language-specific chat channels: now there are additional channels based on your preferred language.
  • Added more avatars.
  • Now you can collect rewards for each new level reached in Season 2.
  • Added a Shop, where you can view and buy new clothes and items.
  • Added Secret Stash, where you can buy special discounted items.

Repair:

  • The smoothness of the spectator mode is improved.
  • Attacking sounds and effects added to melee combat.
  • Parachute camera smoothness improved.
  • Initial parachute speed increased to match the PC version.
  • Improved climb check while running.
  • Picture styles are now available on all devices.
  • Added sound effect to open the door.
  • Improved display of personal information and results.
  • Improved team invite flow.

A little flashback, will PUBG Mobile Season 2 be more successful than Season 1? According to a SuperData report, PUBG Mobile reached 22 million iOS players after its release. And players outside China spent around 9.8 Billion Rupiah for the iOS version during the first week with IAP available. So the majority of PUBG Mobile’s revenue so far (around 48%) is from the US.
