MSC 2021 will be held in Indonesia, ready to join?
Moonton released an important announcement during a press conference in Jakarta. The latest news announcement from Moonton is related to the procurement of the latest eSports tournament, MSC 2021, the establishment of a new office, and improving the quality of Indonesian Mobile Legends players.
Moonton as the developer and publisher of the Mobile Legends Bang Bang game, on Tuesday (3/7) held a press conference in Jakarta. There was an important announcement from him in the form of the MSC international tournament, which this year will be called MSC 2021 aka Mobile Legends Bang Bang South East Asia Cup 2021. The 2021 MSC tournament will be held in Indonesia.
The tournament that was successful in 2021, is now being held again by inviting 7 countries instead of 5 as before. The participating countries were 5 countries that were invited the previous year, namely Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. Coupled with two more Southeast Asian countries, namely Vietnam and Myanmar.
Teams invited to the MSC 2021 international tournament were not fully selected publicly. The selection format is the invited team plus the qualifying team. The invited teams come from countries that have implemented MPL championships, such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines. So teams that excel in the MPL championships of each country will be invited. There are also teams from countries that have not implemented the championship are required to follow the qualifications.
Along with the eSports news release, Moonton also released other announcements. One of them is the company’s plan for Mobile Legends Indonesia next year. Moonton’s plan was stated by Cayayan as Country Manager of Moonton Indonesia.
Cayayan revealed to the press that Moonton will hold a local Mobile Legends Bang Bang (MLBB) tournament at the university level. The reason for holding this championship is to increase the number of MLBB professional players.
In order for the implementation of this plan to be successful, Cayayan stated that Moonton will make new rules at MSC 2021. The reason is that the rules need to be made because the current regulations are for professional teams. For a university-scale tournament with a spread out area, it doesn’t match the rules of a pro team.
After the rules are made, Moonton will hold several small-scale tournaments at a number of universities. These small tournaments are projected by game publisher MLBB to be the beginning of a league format competition.
In addition to the University League, according to Cayayan, Moonton is also trying to open an office in Indonesia in order to improve services for the Indonesian Mobile Legends community. Moonton’s office in Indonesia is expected to be completed this year.
In addition to the announcement, Cayayan did not forget to praise eSports in Indonesia, which is full of potential, aka has a bright future. It is said to have a bright future because there are many eSports players in Indonesia, especially young people who want to participate in this new industry.
Not to forget, Cayayan said that Moonton would release new games because of the bright potential. However, we will still prioritize Mobile Legends Bang Bang because it is still popular in Indonesia.
Still related to Indonesia, Cayayan said that Moonton is preparing the Diamond Challenge Series event for 2021. This event is intended for all Mobile Legends players throughout the country. There is also the content in the form of an online and open monthly challenge series offer.
That’s the news about Moonton’s plan for the MSC 2021 which will be held in Indonesia. Hopefully it will be useful for all of you lovers of MOBA Mobile Legends Bang Bang games.
