We are confused about where to start, but based on gameplay, we should start discussing tips for playing in chapter 1 first, such as tips on saving bullets, getting weapons, treasure, medkit supplies, money, and so on.

However, considering that in the middle of the trip you will meet someone called weapon dealer or weapon equipment seller, then we will explain what weapons and equipment are sold in chapter 1. Alright now let’s start discussing one by one below.

Weapon Dealer

Along the way of the game, you will definitely meet a Weapon Dealer or weapons seller, now that person is not an enemy or a bad person, but a mysterious person who will help you in the game.

This weapon seller is only in certain places, so if you meet him, take the time to sell items you don’t need and buy the equipment you need. And in chapter 1-2 he will sell some items, as below:

  • M-sized suitcase 7×11 (77 boxes) – 30000 PTAS
Medium sized suitcase, if you have enough PTAS, buy this suitcase because you will need it to store more items
  • Treasure Map (Village) – 10000 PTAS
New players may be confused about what this item is used for. As experienced by the author, we thought these were just notes, but it turns out that the Treasure Map is a map that shows the location of treasures.
  • Handgun – 6000 PTAS
A standard 9mm handgun with normal strength is enough to kill a zombie with a few bullets.
  • Shotgun – 20000 PTAS
This powerful weapon is capable of destroying the enemy with just one shot for the enemy in chapter 1. Uniquely, if you direct a shot at several zombies who are gathering, they will bounce off the impact of the weapon.
  • Rifle 12000 PTAS
This long-barreled weapon with long-range attacks has the same power as the Shotgun, to launch the attack, make sure the character is in a position that is not visible to the enemy.
  • TMP – 15000 PTAS
This automatic weapon with 9mm bullets is weak, but it will hurt if you upgrade this weapon higher.
  • Rocket Launcher – 30000 PTAS
The weapon that is the author’s mainstay to fight the Boss.
  • Scope (Rifle) – 7000 PTAS
The scope combined with rifle weapons is able to target the enemy well from a distance
  • First Aid Spray – 10000 PTAS
An item to restore 100% blood.
  • Stock (TMP) – 4000 PTAS
This item can reduce 80% recoil force and can increase shooting stability. Stock TMP sells for 4000 PTAS.
  • Punisher – Free
This medium-strength 9mm handgun can knock out two enemies at once. Collect 10 blue medallions to get the Punisher weapon for free.
  • Red9 – 14000 PTAS
The handgun is high strength and has fast reloading.
  • Stock (Red9) – 4000 PTAS
Just like the TMP Stock, where if this Stock is paired with Red9 it is very useful to reduce recoil force by 80% and can increase shooting stability.
  • Suitcase L size 8×12 – 40000 PTAS
The suitcase is large, if you have enough PTAS, buy this suitcase because you will need it to store more items.

Buy this item if you have enough money, because this item will show the location of the treasure in the castle.
  • Blacktail – 24000 PTAS

  • Mine Thrower – 28000 PTAS
Weapons that launch “Mines” at enemies or objects to blow up a predetermined area, and will explode within a certain period of time, the power is not too great, but it’s enough to mess up the situation.
  • Scope (Mine Thrower) – 8000 PTAS
Scope attached to the Mine Thrower to make it easier to aim and direct mines in a predetermined direction.

Tune Up

If you buy a weapon for the first time, the power of the weapon can be said to be standard. Now in Resident Evil 4, you can tune up Daeler to increase his power level.

  • Fire Power: Increases fire power
  • Firing Speed: Increases bullet speed when fired
  • Reload Speed: Increases speed when reloading bullets
  • Capacity: Increase the number of bullet capacity

If the weapon you upgrade is maxed out, then there will be a choice Exclusive to upgrade the last weapon.

Battle System

Unlike the previous game series, in Resident Evil 4 there will be a laser sensor on the weapon which is useful to make it easier to target enemy body parts.

  • Aiming at the head will make the enemy dizzy, and you can approach him to kick the enemy. This is very effective for saving bullets.
  • Shooting his legs will knock your opponent down, so you can more easily finish them off with a shot or knife slash.
  • Shoots his hand holding the weapon to bounce off the weapon he is holding. And if the enemy holds a torch, shoot it when he is about to blow it at you, then he will be burned by his own fire.

Tips:

If the enemy you face is only 1 person, shoot him in the leg and when he falls then slash with a knife. This is very useful for saving bullets. However, if the enemy you face is very large or the enemy is very agile. It’s best to just avoid it and keep your distance from them.

Recovery Items

Several types of plants in Resident Evil 4 have their respective benefits. Such as yellow herbs which are useful for increasing Health slots, green herbs for restoring some Health, and red herbs which are useful for fully restoring blood. Here’s a combination of herbs:

  • Green + Red + Yellow: Fully restore and increase health slot
  • Green + Green + Green: Fully restores blood
  • Green + Red: Fully restore blood
  • Green + Green: Recovers some blood
  • Green + Yellow: Restores a bit and adds blood slots

Green herbs are useful for restoring a little blood, but red herbs and yellow herbs cannot be used without being combined with green herbs.

In addition, there is a First aid Spray that you can find in several locations or you can also buy it directly at the Weapon Dealer for 10000 PTAS.

Not only plants, eggs and fish can restore blood. You can find eggs hidden in white boxes, chickens, or snakes. As for the fish, you can find them when you’re on the edge of the lake by shooting them:

  • Gold Chicken Egg: A golden egg that serves to restore blood in full
  • Brown Chicken Egg: Brown egg that serves to restore some blood
  • Chicken Egg: Egg white to restore a little blood
  • Black Bass: Restores half blood
  • Black Bass (L): Full blood restore
