Steam’s SteamWorld Dig 2 games are everything players could want from the first game and more, from the story, the music, the atmosphere, the gameplay and the level design, all of which are here to make for an incredibly fun and exciting experience. In the game you play as Dot, a robot whose goal is to find her friend Rusty and to find out what causes the many dangerous earthquakes in the valley. Along the way you’ll meet fellow bots to help guide you on your adventure.

Image & Form really improves the gameplay of this one game, the developer has listened to the complaints that came from the player’s experience in the first game and made sure not to make the same mistake. All the hard work the developers put into this game creates a beautiful and mechanically satisfying masterpiece.

SteamWorld Dig 2 is very similar to Metroid’s style of gameplay except if you know digging, you can explore and bank or follow the main story, it’s up to you and your play style.

The music in the SteamWorld Dig 2 game is great. Walking into the underground world for the first time makes your ears feel joy through good music. Many of the tracks in the game match the location and atmosphere, at least this means that you have to keep your lights on while you dig, otherwise it can get a bit spooky.
