Telltale Games Officially Confirms News About Studio Closure
Of course, some of the game projects that are being worked on will be cancelled.
Telltale Games is one of the well-known developers with games withgenre story telling like serial The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us, Tales from the Borderlands and much more. Yesterday the video game world was shocked by the news that Telltale Games would be closing its studio and today, they finally officially confirmed the news.
The current CEO of Telltale Games, Pete Hawley, gave reasons for the closure of their studio. Pete Hawley explained that this year has been a difficult one especially as they are setting the company on a new path. But in reality they ran out of time and had to lay off some of their employees in an effort to maintain the company’s financial health.

With the news of this closing, there are certainly some game projects that are being worked on that are in danger of being unclear and may also be canceled. Moreover, it is reported that there are only 25 Telltale Games employees left. For a new project like The Wolf Among Us it’s definitely cancelled. But there is still no explanation for the project The Walking Dead which is likely to just hang. The good news is, Telltale Games will struggle with the rest of its staff to complete the project Minecraft: Story Mode who works with Netflix.
As of this writing, Telltale Games still has not provided information about the game The Walking Dead: The Final Season. Hopefully Telltale Games will continue with some of the ongoing projects.
