American Server Has Been Released, League of Legends Gives 4 Points to Players

A few hours ago League of Legends: Wild Rift was officially released in America. Initially, Riot Games planned to bring Wild Rift to American servers at the end of December 2021. However, for various reasons, the company had to delay the release of the title until March 2021.

In addition to the issue of the pandemic, the many unique challenges that each region of America poses also led to the delay. Wild Rift’s communications lead, Ben “Draggles” Forbes, previously explained that developers must overcome every hurdle, to bring the best experience to the American community.

Here’s a quick look at the Wild Rift packages that Riot will be bringing to its North and South American Servers.

1. Wild Welcome Event

Riot will introduce events with a limited time called “Wild Welcome” to speed up players in the Americas region. This event will be exclusive to the region, and during this time, players can earn Champions and content to help them get started with Wild Rift quickly.

These bonus prizes will be in addition to the rewards existing League of Legends PC players will receive for their time and investment in previous games. They will be able to retrieve it once they are logged into their Riot Games account. Blue Motes, Champions, XP, and many other bonuses are prizes for this event.

2. Exclusive Servers

As Draggles explains, each region in America has a unique set of boundaries. Thus, players in this particular region will be connected to a different infrastructure compared to other servers.

Although the in-game experience for North and South America will be the same as for other regions, they cannot play with other servers to avoid further server complications.

3. Notes For VPN Users

VPNs have made things very complicated for Riot developers, and to avoid further problems, they have come up with a balanced solution. Here’s what Wild Rift players should do right after games launched.

Players must ensure that they are logged in without activating the VPN. Message pop-up will be displayed on the home screen asking them to confirm their playing region. If a player already has an account at server Another Wild Rift, the game menu will ask them to move to America.

Once the Americas are established, players can play Wild Rift officially. Since Riot uses a different infrastructure for this region, they have to start from level 1 with all previous content removed.

Forbes assures that Riot will try its best to help VPN users by refunding a portion of their in-game purchases.

5. Find the Champion’s Secret in Wild Rift

Riot has set up a mobile-only experience for players to get an idea of the 61 Wild Rift Champions available before the launch in America.

In this activity, new Wild Rift players need to identify all 61 Champions along with their five power crystals. This will help them get to know the skills of the Champions before starting League of Legends.
