Last Wednesday we finally got the release date The Last of Us Part II and the announcement for the free PlayStation Plus games for October tomorrow is The Last of Us (TLOU). For fans of Sony PlayStation exclusive games and action-adventure game genres with post apocalyptic/zombie themes, this is a must play.

1. News about the Cordyceps mushroom in Uncharted 3

The Last of Us It was originally going to be announced before Uncharted 3’s release, but was pushed back due to a number of reasons. But at the beginning Uncharted 3 You can find newspapers with headlines discussing the deadly fungus that American scientists are researching. O’Sullivan’s name itself is taken from one of the main characters of the Uncharted series, Victor “Sully” Sullivan.

Neil Druckmann, creative director of TLOU stated in an interview that the inspiration came when he was watching the documentary “Planet Earth” when he saw an ant that died from infection with the Cordyceps fungus. As a result the word “Zombie Ant” came up by him and his team Naughty Dog himself, so the inspiration to create the concept of a dangerous virus that can infect humans.
